In terms of top ecommerce sites by visitors, US multinational retail company Walmart sits comfortably in first place. According to thelatest figures, the number of visits to the world’s biggest online shop exceeds 950 million per month. Incidentally, Walmart is also the最大的零售公司worldwidein terms of revenue. In 2022, the company’s total revenues hit $585.2 billion.
Despite its high number of monthly visits, the bounce rate of walmart.com is the highest among the top 10 online shopping websites, at 86.5%. In other words, nearly nine out of every 10 visitors landing on Walmart’s website leave after visiting just one page. It also has the lowest number of pages visited per session. Users on walmart.com view an average of 1.47 pages before leaving.
Second on this list ranking top ecommerce sites by visitors is AliExpress. The online popular online store, owned by the Alibaba Group, receives 917.2 million visits each month.
Walmart and AliExpress are the only two online retailers with monthly visits that exceed 900 million. Together, these two top online shopping websites register a total of 1.88 billion visits per month. This makes up 27.5% of the total number of monthly visits to the top 10 ecommerce sites.
Mangakakalot.com, a website dedicated to manga comics, is third, with 816 million monthly visits. Of the top 10, Mangakakalot has the lowest bounce rate. At 38.9%, it means that just under two out of every five visitors leave after viewing one page.
Onliner.by, an ecommerce platform based in Belarus, and ebay.com round out the five biggest online shops, with monthly visits of 792.1 million and 743.8 million, respectively. Ebay’s pages per visit metric deserves a special mention—at 6.01, it’s the highest on this list of the top 10 ecommerce sites ranked by visitors.
